Legacy Sisters is a women's chama built around sisterhood, saving, mutual support, empowerment and building a lasting legacy together. Based in Kisauni, Mombasa County, Kenya, the group brings together women who live in the same community and are committed to lifting one another through every season of life.
The idea is bigger than simply contributing money. We are here to kuinuwana — to help one another, support each other through life's challenges, improve our homes, celebrate achievements, and create something meaningful that can be passed on to the next generation.
The name Legacy Sisters reflects Dada wa Urithi and Dada Wanaojenga Urithi — women who leave value behind and women intentionally building a legacy together.
We improve homes, support families, build financial discipline and create a stronger foundation for the future.
Prayer, encouragement and emotional support form a vital part of how we move through life together.
To save together, support one another, celebrate each other's journeys and use our collective strength to improve our homes, families and individual lives.

Together we build a legacy.Legacy Sisters does not view the contribution as simply handing cash to one member. The original idea centers on “Kuinuwana ki nyumba” — helping each other improve our homes by collectively supporting a member with an important household item or need she may otherwise struggle to buy alone.
This makes the contribution tangible. Every member sees the benefit of belonging to the sisterhood because one woman's home is lifted today and another woman's home will be lifted in the next round.
We also believe the group is meant to be more than money. It is emotional support, financial discipline, prayer, family upliftment, personal growth and genuine friendship.
Legacy Sisters is a reminder that women do not have to face life alone. Through unity, prayer and shared effort, we build joy, stability and lasting impact.
